Become a member of the DFP!

There are many benefits of membership of the DFP and these were outlined recently in this letter from Carol Ireland (Chair of the DFP). Benefits of membership.doc
Membership of the DFP is outlined on the Membership pages of the BPS website. There are various levels of membership all of which are described on the pages above. Any queries regarding membership should be directed to the membership team on: email: applications@bps.org.uk or telephone (0116) 2529911.
The DFP is the section of the BPS devoted to supporting and devloping the practice of Forensic Psychology! The advantages of becoming a member mean that you have access to a whole host of career development, free training courses, support and access to a dedicated network of other practicing and in-training members. The advantages of membership are described in points 1-4 below.

1. The Division acts to represent the professional interests of its members working in forensic settings.

2. Through its publications (e.g. Issues in Forensic Psychology and Forensic Update), the Division provides a means for its members to regularly update their knowledge of, and practice in, forensic psychology.

3. Through its organisation of Conferences and meetings, the Division allows a forum for those interested in forensic psychology to meet. It also provides a means for its members to continue to update and enhance their professional knowledge and skills.

4. Full Members of the Division admitted to The List of Chartered Psychologists are entitled to the specialist term 'Chartered Psychologist'.
