There are numerous advantages in becoming a member of the Division of Forensic Psychology, some of which are listed below:

1. The Division acts to represent the professional interests of its members working in forensic settings.

2. Through its publications (e.g. Issues in Forensic Psychology and Forensic Update), the Division provides a means for its members to regularly update their knowledge of, and practice in, forensic psychology.

3. Through its organisation of Conferences and meetings, the Division allows a forum for those interested in forensic psychology to meet. It also provides a means for its members to continue to update and enhance their professional knowledge and skills.
