Following discussions at the last AGM, it was decided to launch the Branch into cyberspace using the facilities of the BPS Website.

Part of the motivation is to keep administrative costs to a minimum by using e-mail and web pages to communicate with members. This is in addition to regular announcements in Training Link; again an alternative agreed last year to regular mail shots.

A further initiative this year will be to revive training initiatives. We would particularly like to explore setting up training events with Special Interest Group and Faculties in the Region. In this way, we can assist the work of SIGs and Faculties and better target training events using their expertise. The ideal will be to have training events of specialist interest but with a wider appeal to those clinical specialties.
