WEBLINK OPPORTUNITIES FROM YOUR DIVISION
Dear Colleague,
Do you have a personal website you’d like the Division to list?
Do you have a website that supports your work as a counselling psychologist? It might be a site for an independent practice, or an NHS department or a consultancy. Would you like to have it listed on the Divisional pages?
All we need is the website address. Of course (here comes the catch), nothing in life is ever really free, and we would ask that you put a reciprocal link on your site. This does, however, mean:
· your site and the Division site benefit from extra traffic (and up those Google listings we all go)
· clients and patients start to notice the Division as they visit sites looking for therapists
· we all benefit from the raised profile and shared kudos of being part of the Division
Do you have a specialism you’d like to share with colleagues?
If you’d like to share your specialism, we can list that next to the name of the website you send us.
The catch? You might have to answer queries from colleagues anxious to share your knowledge.
But, we get to share your specialist knowledge and you get more and more well known as a fount of such knowledge. And of course, you’ll get access to the expert knowledge of colleagues.
Do you have websites bookmarked that we should all know about?
You probably have a store of bookmarks to fabulous sites that other Divisional members could make good use of. These might be sites that support your therapy, or which support your business, or which help you with research or the development of specialist knowledge.
We need your bookmarks! We’d much rather be recommending sites on our link pages that members have found to be valuable.
Action points
1. Please reply to this email sending:
a. A link to your website (just cut and paste the address from the address bar)
b. Your name, BPS membership number and location
c. Your specialism (if you’d like us to list it)
d. Your best bookmarks
2. Please add a reciprocal link to
http://www.bps.org.uk /dcop/dcop/home_cfm
3. Keep visiting the Divisional site and watch it grow and develop over 2010!
Please send replies to Peter Martin at DCoPComms@bps.org.uk.
Many thanks for your time and your help in improving the Divisional website.
Best wishes
Dr John Penny
on behalf of the Divisional Communications Committee Working Party.
