The BPS Conferences team, led by Ruth Raven, are committed to ensuring value for money, careful budgeting and sustainability in the current economic climate by:

• Trying to reduce the amount of peak time travel
• Encouraging our customers to replace face-to-face meetings with teleconferences where possible
• Encouraging delegates/committees to seek out the most cost-effective method of transport (eg car sharing, or purchasing advanced rail tickets)
• Cutting down on wasteful items at the conferences, like delegate bags, and replacing them with items that delegates can more easily recycle
• Bulk purchasing across conferences to help reduce the unit price of items
• Helping our clients with careful budgeting and managing financial implications by monitoring potential fluctuations in conference attendance
