Forthcoming

For details of our forthcoming London-based workshop on Conscious intention, agency and free will: neuroscientific and experiential perspectives, see our recent letter to members.

This event will be held on the 22nd November, at the London BPS offices.

Here are details of our planned annual conference in 2009.

Member feedback is welcome!

Overview

The section runs conferences, symposia, seminars, workshops and other events.

A conference usually involves keynote speakers, larger numbers, particular themes, speaker presentations in the form of papers and posters.

A symposium is a more-focussed form of conference and may form part of a larger conference.

A seminar may have presentations, but these are usually shorter and there’s a greater opportunity for questions, comments, discussion and interaction.

A workshop usually has some practice element, i.e., something that people do; this could, for example, be a session on mindfulness meditation led by a practitioner.
