Accreditation Through Partnership

Accreditation through partnership is the Society’s new model of engagement with education providers, their students and employers. It launches formally in September 2010, and we are currently engaged in an extensive pilot process to test out the model and make sure it achieves our goals of collaborative working and supportive enquiry.
More detailed handbooks will be available here in summer 2010. In the meantime, please refer to standards documents below. You may also find it helpful to refer to our document outlining the main differences between our existing model of accreditation and accreditation through partnership.

Programme standards

These are the standards that all accredited programmes will need to achieve. They apply with immediate effect for any new programmes being submitted for accreditation, and from September 2010 for existing accredited programmes.

Domain-specific standards

These are the specific standards that relate to different types of programme.

Undergraduate and conversion programmes

Our standards for programmes accredited against the requirements for the Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership of the Society are still under development. Click here to access our existing standards, which will continue to be in use for the remainder of the 2009/10 academic year.

Postgraduate programmes

Our standards for postgraduate programmes are below. They apply with immediate effect.
