What if I require client consent?

Candidates can use the following example form if they need to gain client consent:

What are the submission dates?

Assessments take place twice per year, in the Spring and Autumn.  Candidates must be enrolled for at least two years before being eligible to submit their Portfolio of Competence for assessment.  You will be advised by the Registrar/Chief Supervisor of your earliest opportunity for assessment when your enrolment is confirmed.

What forms do I need to submit in order to register for assessment?

Candidates need to register for assessment by submitting the registration form and fee by the registration deadline stated in the assessment timetable below.

What is the Portfolio of Competence?

You can find more about the Portfolio of Competence and what it will need to contain by reading the section of the Candidate Handbook relating to assessment.  Your Supervisor should help you with preparing your Portfolio of Competence.  You are strongly advised to read the Candidate Handbook before attempting to put your Portfolio together.

What forms will I need to include with my Portfolio?

The forms below must be completed and included in your Portfolio when you submit this for assessment.  Please see the Candidate Handbook for further details.

How is my Portfolio assessed?

Your Portfolio will be assessed initially on the basis of the written evidence within your Portfolio.  If the assessors are satisfied that your Portfolio indicates that you have the potential to satisfy the requirements for the QHP (Stage 2) then you will be invited for a viva voce (oral examination).  The purpose of the viva voce is to confirm that you have achieved all the required competences in the course of your supervised practice.  You could therefore be asked questions about any aspect of your Portfolio or your supervised practice which is relevant to the demonstration of these competences.  You can find more details on how the assessors will assess your Portfolio of Competence in the Candidate Handbook.

How much does the assessment cost?

Please see the QHP (Stage 2) Schedule of Fees.

What happens if I need to resubmit my Portfolio?

If you are required to resubmit your Portfolio you will be provided with feedback to guide your resubmission, and you should work closely with your Supervisor in preparing your resubmission.  You will need to follow the same registration process as for your initial submission.  Further details about the submission and resubmission process can be found in the Candidate Handbook.

Are there any ongoing fees?

Please see the QHP (Stage 2) Schedule of Fees and additional guidance on fees.

What else should I be aware of?
