Here is some useful information to help you search for a psychologist
Work Area
Click here for full listings and definitions of Work Areas
Select the category of psychology you wish to search for (Clinical, Forensic etc). A selection must be made to continue with the search.
Sub Work Area

Sub work area's are specialist area's within a category, for example 'Adult Mental Health - General' is a Sub Work Area of Clinical Psychology. You can optionally narrow your search to a particular sub-category of the Work Areas.
Geographical Area
Select Geographical Area you are searching for a Psychologist. Please note, some psychologist on this database serve ALL UK or ENGLAND. These records will appear along with psychologists in you chosen area. A selection must be made to continue with search.
Include Psychologists who are willing to travel?
Some Psychologists are willing to travel either anywhere in England or anywhere in the United Kingdom (Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland). To include these psychologists in your area search please select either "Anywhere in England" or "Anywhere in the UK". Please note, this feature will not affect your postcode search.
Postcode
Enter first two digits of the postcode of the area you wish to find a psychologist in. If you wish to search a wider area please use the Location Search where you can search a Geographical Area. A selection must be made to continue with search.
Surname
Search for the Surname or partial Surname of a Psychologist that you know of in your area. Please note; to make use of this search you must be sure of the psychologist's location, and area of work. If you are unsure of these details, you will be able to get the postcode and area of work in most cases by searching the Register of Chartered Psychologists.
Non-English Language
Use this list to search for a Psychologist with non-English language skills.

This searches the Additional Information field of all records. This field is Free Text, so there are no rules to the information it holds. It often holds information on additional service offered.
E.g. you can find psychologist who has stated experience in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).
